The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the largest and longest-running professional game industry event. At their booth, Amazon Game Tech wanted to ensure that attendees came away with a clear understanding of their products and how to get started with them. They asked us to create a customized registration experience that would guide participants to the top 6 demos that match their interests and allow them to better understand their customers.
Because GDC attracts over 28,000 attendees, we prioritized efficient completion of the registration process and exceptional on-site support during the conference. Our streamlined design of the registration app allowed participants to register quickly and get a printout of the demos that were most relevant to their interests. The process of registering was made painless by scanning the exisitng NFC/RFID attendee badges and registration API. We worked with Amazon to gamify the Game Tech booth by creating a system for participants to earn points by attending demos, check their point values, claim prizes, and complete an exit survey.
Our app brought in significantly more registrations than the previous year and allowed for easy and flexible data analysis. Here’s what our client said:
